You should soon have your notice about the Clubs AGM and planned events for the morning. Please consider becoming an active member of the Clubs committee. For most of the Committee, meetings are held via SKYPE, this has proved to be a most successful method of gathering committee members together for a meeting without the expense of fuel and time to travel across the UK. The meetings can also be held more frequently without the need to leave your own home.
As I also have an interest in the Pharaoh Hound breed and with David being the Secretary of The Pharaoh Hound Club, I was aware of the latest Pharaoh that had found it's way into a Rescue Centre. There was at one point a concern as to it being a Pharaoh or a Cirneco. The pictures showed a half starved excessively thin specimen of the breed obviously in need of a new home. Hopefully by the time you read this the dog will be settled in his new abode. Should the case ever arise that a Cirenco is put in this dreadful situation, it would be hoped that we could find someone to go and verify the identity of the breed and there be willing volunteers that might be able to offer a foster home or permanent home. If you feel that you could help by accommodating a Cirneco into your home should this need arise please make it known to the committee. It is my hope that you will never be called upon but knowing that there are homes available would be a very comforting thought.. Hopefully this being a numerically small breed here in UK, the dog would be identified and returned to the breeder.
